Thanks, Vanark.

It would be nice if the Forums Forum page was directly linked on the black drop-down bar, maybe with a 'Forums' link beside 'Help'. I've noticed a couple of semi-behind the scenes changes lately, so maybe it's a work in progress.

Another change I've noticed is that our own pages now have a link titled 'Manage' under the 'Edit' link, but I'm still baffled by the Manage page. Would it have been possible to change the page's identifier myself on the Manage page?

One more time, to help anyone seeking that page:

The Forums Forum:
https://archive.org/iathreads/forums.php

(Of course, it's a bit of a circular reference to assume that someone would be searching the forums to find the page where you search the forums; heh-heh.)

Thanks again!

No, only an admin can change the identifier.

A user can use the manage link to start a new derive process, not much else. Some full re-derives need to be started by an admin.

The forums are listed at the top of each collection (Community Audio, Live Music Archive, etc.) If you go to the collection, you will see About, Collections, Forum (if available.)

Thanks for the Manage info. About the forums, true, but only the Forums Forum page has a searchbox at the top, for searching the forums. (The big searchbox at the upper right of any page doesn't seem to search forum pages.)
